6-Break Away

"Are you kidding me? They turned off the power grid?" The lieutenant yelled at his captain.
"'Fraid so sir, there's nothing we can do about it. They have us boxed in." The gruff man had grizzled chin hair from camping out in the building for a couple of days.
"Whatever moron told me zombies were stupid is going to pay if I make it out of this" Lieutenant Harvey said to himself." The cadet next to him winced in a very real proposition of pain.
The door opposite them was closed. The windows were dark, and all one could hear was the distant moan of a hundred infected men.

Then all life exploded in a cacophony of crashs. The window pains simultaneously exploded into the form of zombies coming through them, while the door burst open with glowing rings appearing at head level. Gun fire filled both. However, the zombies weren't to be stopped that easily. They continued rushing in until eventually a couple of them got close. Down went one man, and another. The cadet who had been wincing a the future pain of Harvey, lost all prospects of punishment in the jolt of a mouth biting him.

Eventually they stopped, and all that was left was four men. Harvey glanced at the four men, men of virtue, valiance and honor. "C'mone boys. Let's go out with a bang."
