8-Heaven

It's cold where I'm from, summer, winter, fall, spring. All year, the same coldness haunted my town. Today is different though, I'm not in my town, I'm far, so far away from anything I know. And yet, everything is so familiar, it's like an orphan meeting with their lost father after five  years of his disappearance. You just know this is where you were born to be inhabiting. The perfect house, the perfect family, all those seem so trivial in the eye of what I could now see. A perfect world. I felt myself being lifted and thrust forward over a huge city that stretched as far as I could see. I grew farther and farther away, lifted into the atmosphere, but I was not afraid, I was held by an invisible hand, the city was huge, the size of what we had once envisioned as a big continent in North America. As I slipped into the atmosphere, the darkness of space rippled around me and I felt myself being transported into a new place. It was a kingdom of shining light, everything was a compose of a series of colors that I had never seen before in all my time on the earth. New spectrums of light, sounds that before I had never been able to hear, and the sweet scent of chocolate chip cookies being cooked only even better. The overloading of the senses was intoxicating. Angels flew in and out of the shining palace on errands for the mighty king. One flew toward me and escorted me to the throne room.
"My son," his face was once light but now I could see all that belonged their as attributed in the Bible. Justice, peace, love, truth, kindness, and so much more. I bowed down before him and he raised my chin and stared into my eyes and repeated, "My Son."

  1. How amazing will that be!!! I love the mention of colors never seen before! Its impossible to fathom!! And i am thankful that God has made it impossible to fathom, cause if we could fathom it we would not look forward to it as we do!! Great writing! Its makes me so excited to think about!!!! :D
